Lucinda Bazile

Chief Executive Officer, Cancer Support Community SF Bay Area

Lucinda Bazile is a mission-driven healthcare executive whose leadership advances equity, systems transformation, and whole-person care. With more than three decades of experience in community health and nonprofit leadership, she has dedicated her career to strengthening access to care for underserved populations and building organizations that center dignity, trust, and community partnership.

Her commitment to cancer support is both professional and deeply personal. After losing her mother to colon cancer and serving as a caregiver to loved ones facing serious illness, Ms. Bazile gained firsthand insight into the emotional and social complexities surrounding diagnosis and treatment. These experiences shaped her conviction that effective healthcare must integrate psychosocial support alongside clinical care.

Ms. Bazile previously served as Deputy Director at LifeLong Medical Care, where she led operational transformation, cross-sector partnerships, and equity-centered program expansion. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area, guiding strategic growth to expand access to free psychosocial cancer support services across diverse communities.

Participation in a Harvard leadership fellowship will strengthen her capacity to lead adaptive change, scale sustainable models of community-based care, and advance innovative partnerships that position supportive cancer care as an essential component of equitable health systems.
